Meet up with Main Contractor

Met up with the main con to discuss the parquet flooring problem today. He agreed to look into the problem but requested for our designer to wrap up his portion of the work first before he took over so that everything would be handed over neatly. My designer said he would need another 2 weeks to cement up the 2 existing doors, install the new door and door frame and also to patch up the parquet flooring where the wall had been removed. The main con will then take over and ask a specialist to come and inspect the flooring before advising on what would be the best way to rectify the problem. Accoridng to the main con, the floor may look worse after digging up and patching since the tiles may become hollow. He commented that the tiles at present were sound and laid well except for the gaps, which he said he could patch up if the problem was not serious. He said the specialist would advise and we can decide what we want to do to rectify it later on.

Meanwhile, the electricians are halfway through the laying of cables..as shown:

Hopefully they will also wrap this up before we hand over to the main con to rectify the parquet floor. Really hope that we can coordinate well. Very worried about such liaison problems, cuz delays very often arise due to the inability to match each others' timings. So I really hope it will all go smooth and steady. And that our designer can work on the carpentry while the main con rectify the parquet.
